In the channel between Nusa Lembongan & Nusa Ceningan is were the majority of seaweed farming happens around here, which – after tourism – is the main source of income on these islands. makes working the apple orchards back home look like a dream job! The seaweed here is very different from the stuff you’d be used to in sushi, looks a bit like gelatinous coral, and is used in the local salads. Needless to say it’s a pretty poor life, with the local farmers living in these tiny little huts along the coast.
